Movin’ On Battle Of The Bands Applications Due February 1

Penn State’s annual end-of-the-year music festival, Movin’ On, recently opened its applications for the 2023 Battle of the Bands competition. The winner of the competition will open the musical festival.

Movin’ On will select eight applicants — groups or solo acts — to partake in the competition. At least one person per group must be a Penn State student.

Applications close on Wednesday, February 1. It asks for some general information and a music sample, which you can submit here.

The competition will be held on Tuesday, April 4. Last year, rock group Women’s National Hockey League won the competition and opened for Jack Harlow, Aminé, Fitz and the Tantrums, and The Aces.

Movin’ On 2023 is slated for Friday, April 28 — the last day of classes before finals begin.
