Penn State To Host ‘MoneyCounts’ Financial Literacy Series Starting January 24

Penn State’s Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center is presenting a webinar series, MoneyCounts, to offer students the opportunity to learn about financial literacy and participate in workshops. The series will begin on Tuesday, January 24, and is budgeted to run every other week of the spring and fall semesters through April 2024.

The first week’s topic is “Paying for College” and features a Zoom webinar at noon. The webinar can be accessed at this link, or you can visit the center’s YouTube channel to explore recordings from the MoneyCounts series.

Missed a webinar? You don’t have to worry. Most topics are either covered on the YouTube channel or in a repeat seminar during subsequent semesters.

Other topics of the MoneyCounts series include salary negotiation, student loans, budgeting, credit card, saving, taxes, investing, and more. MoneyCounts also offers self-study modules where students can work through these topics to learn at their own pace.
