Looking to spend a summer at University Park? LEAP has you covered!

Penn State’s Learning Edge Advantage Program (LEAP) has opened applications for current students to mentor between 24 to 48 incoming freshmen during summer session II from June 28 to August 11. LEAP offers new students a chance to learn the ins and outs of campus while transitioning into the college lifestyle.

LEAP also announced that on-campus LEAP students will live in Pollock and South Halls during the summer session as opposed to East Halls like in previous years.

Mentors will “serve as role models, provide academic and social programming, and help new first-year students learn their way around campus and the State College community.” If chosen for the position, training will start on June 21.

You can register for LEAP Mentor information sessions here. The sessions will take place virtually at 7:30 p.m. on January 25 and February 6.
