Penn State Men’s Soccer’s Greg Dalby Joins Oregon State As Head Coach

Penn State men’s soccer is seeing some staff turnover, folks.

Former associate head coach Greg Dalby is joining Oregon State as the team’s head coach, the program announced on Thursday.

“I would also like to thank Penn State for an incredible five years and specifically Jeff Cook for being a great leader and mentor,” Dalby said. “I truly believe that Oregon State is an elite soccer program with a great culture. My family and I cannot wait to join Oregon State University and become a part of the Corvallis community.”

Dalby joins the Beavers after spending the past five years in Happy Valley alongside head coach Jeff Cook. In that span, Penn State reached three NCAA Tournaments and won the Big Ten regular-season title and Tournament in 2021. Dalby also coached 14 All-Big Ten selections, 12 All-Region honorees, and two All-Americans.

Dalby will take over a program that recently parted ways with head coach Terry Boss, who stepped down to pursue a coaching career at the professional level. Oregon State achieved significant success under Boss, as the team won its first Pac-12 Championship en route to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
