Penn State Community Garden To Open Plot Applications February 25
If you’ve got a green thumb, think about staying in State College this summer.
Penn State’s Community Garden will open applications for plot sign-ups for the 2023 growing season at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 25. Plots are located on campus off Porter Road near Lot 44 and Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
Membership from April to November costs $30 and is open to all Penn State students, faculty, staff, and State College community members. Half of the available plots are reserved for students. Membership perks will include access to a 10 x 15 ft. plot for the growing season, free use of gardening tools, mulch, compost, and free workshops about soil testing, signage, seed swapping, and more.
If you adequately take care of your plot during the season, you’ll be permitted to renew your plot for the next growing season.
