Berkey Creamery ‘Flavor Madness’ Bracket Voting Now Open

Penn State’s Berkey Creamery’s sixth-annual “Flavor Madness” bracket is now accepting votes for the 2023 “Scoop Champion” ice cream flavor.

Penn Staters were perhaps preoccupied watching Penn State hoops on Sunday, but the Berkey Creamery still held a Selection Sunday of its own to kick off Flavor Madness, complete with a truly Sweet Sixteen.

Each year, the Creamery chooses 16 iconic flavors to go head-to-head in a four-week bracket-style tournament. Folks can vote for their favorite ice cream flavors to advance through the tournament.

Just for voting, you’ll receive a discount code to use on the Berkey Creamery website along with an entry into a drawing for the chance to win a free cooler of ice cream shipped directly to your door. The winning flavor will also be discounted from April 10 to 14.

The competition will run on a weekly basis, and voting for each round will begin on Monday and end on Friday.

Death by Chocolate, the overwhelming early fan favorite, made its triumphant return to the stacked field of dairy-based frozen confections in this year’s bracket, along with other Creamery favorites like Peachy Paterno and Alumni Swirl.
