Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Rises, Women’s Lacrosse Falls In Latest Rankings
Penn State men’s lacrosse jumped into the top five of the national rankings Monday, while the school’s women’s lacrosse program fell one slot the same day.
Men’s lacrosse jumped from No. 8 to No. 5 in the rankings after an important upset victory against No. 7 Johns Hopkins on Sunday. Penn State defeated the Blue Jays in a double-overtime conference victory.

The men are currently 7-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten, with two games left before the close of the regular season. The group will face its last road game of the season against No. 15 Michigan at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 16.
Penn State women’s lacrosse fell one spot to No. 18 on Monday, after dropping its game against No. 13 Michigan on the road Saturday.
The women are currently 10-4 overall and 2-2 in the Big Ten, with two games left to play before they take on the Big Ten tournament. They first host No. 10 Maryland at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 13.
