Health And Human Development Student Council Opening New Wellness Space

The Health and Human Development (HHD) Student Council is hosting a grand opening event to establish a new wellness space on campus. The event will begin at noon on April 12 in the Henderson Building.

The College of Health and Human Development wanted to lead a change toward a healthier working environment for students. The college accomplished this by partnering with the University Park Undergraduate Association and the University Park Allocation Committee. Together, these organizations were able to transform unused space in the HHD buildings into new wellness spaces.

So far, the only wellness space opening will be in room 10 in the Henderson Building. It is currently unclear if the HHD Student Council plans to repurpose any other rooms.

This wellness space will be a significant step in promoting health and wellness among students on campus. The area will be open to all students, allowing access to wellness resources and providing students with a safe and accessible space to practice mindfulness and meditation.
