UPSAHL Rocks Through The Rain With Movin’ On Performance

Up-and-coming alternative and indie artist Taylor Upsahl got the Movin’ On music festival crowd rocking out in the rain at the IM Fields early in the evening on Friday.

Upsahl, who was dressed for the weather with a snazzy jumpsuit, started her set off with “People I Don’t Like” and “Melatonin” before asking the crowd of Penn Staters what was up.

“Hey, Penn State! I’m glad to be out here [to] get soaked with you all and celebrate the last day of classes,” she said.

Those in attendance at Upsahl’s set were the first to hear her perform “Good Girl Era (Side A)” live, as the song dropped Friday, April 28.

Then, while performing “Lady Jesus,” Upsahl encouraged the crowd to lift a middle finger up to the sky and pump along to the beat of the music.

Finally, Upsahl asked the crowd if anyone was with their best friend, prompting an unsurprising roar. She then told the crowd to turn to their best friend or favorite person in the world, and tell that person “I fucking love you bitch.”

Upsahl followed those kind words up with her song, “Last Supper,” which she dedicated to her own best friend.

Upsahl was the second performer at Movin’ On 2023. Student band Mellow Honey kicked off the festival, and Neon Trees, COIN, and J.I.D performed following Upsahl.
