Parker Washington Drafted No. 185 Overall By Jacksonville Jaguars

Penn State’s former No. 1 wide receiver was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 185 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft. Washington will join former Penn State tight end Brenton Strange in Florida.
Arriving at Penn State in 2020, Washington made an immediate impact for the Nittany Lions during his true freshman season, starting all nine games and ranking second in receptions, yards, and touchdowns on the team behind Jahan Dotson.
His sophomore season saw him continue his success on the field, once again ranking second behind Dotson in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. During the Outback Bowl, Washington showed signs that he could be a No. 1 receiver on a team, grabbing seven receptions.
Heading into 2022, Washington was ready to take over as the offense’s top playmaker, and it looked that way through the first ten games. However, a leg injury caused Washington to miss the remainder of the season. He finished his time at Penn State with 146 receptions, 1920 yards, and 12 touchdowns.
Washington will play under head coach Doug Pederson and offensive coordinator Press Taylor.
