Juice Scruggs To Wear No. 70 With Houston Texans
Juice Scruggs is sticking with what he knows.
On Thursday, the Houston Texans announced that the former Penn State center would wear No. 70 in the NFL, along with the numbers of Scruggs’ newest teammates.
Scruggs’ No. 70 is the same number he wore at Penn State, where he spent six years. He is the fifth Nittany Lion to earn his NFL number after Sean Clifford, Joey Porter Jr., Brenton Strange, and Parker Washington received their new jersey numbers in the weeks following the 2023 NFL Draft.
Scruggs was with the Nittany Lions for six years and started in his final two seasons. He became a key part of Penn State’s offensive line and was named a team captain ahead of the 2022 campaign. After earning an All-Big Ten honorable mention and an All-Big Ten third-team nod by coaches in his final season, he was drafted No. 62 overall by the Texans.
