Three-Star Quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer Commits To Penn State

Penn State football has its own Gronk Grunk.

Three-star quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer committed to the Nittany Lions, he announced via Twitter Saturday. The quarterback is the 14th player to join Penn State’s recruiting Class of 2024 after he chose the program over Minnesota, Clemson, and others.

Standing at 6’2″ and 190 pounds, the Ohio native is ranked as the No. 37 quarterback in the nation and the 20th-best player in his home state, per the 247Sports composite rankings, though he’s established himself as a fast-rising prospect. The quarterback only picked up his first Power Five offer in April and has since received a total of six offers from Big Ten and ACC programs.

Grunkemeyer is the first quarterback to join the Class of 2024, which has been trying to make a splash with several four-star recruits, though to no avail. Instead, Grunkemeyer could fill the quarterback role in a group currently ranked No. 6 in the country. When he arrives at Penn State, Grunkemeyer can expect to sit behind former five-star recruit Drew Allar.

With another year of high school football ahead of him, check out what Grunkemeyer can bring to Penn State with his Hudl highlights.
