Penn State men’s basketball alumni Jalen Pickett and Seth Lundy received their NBA jersey numbers Monday after hearing their names called in the 2023 NBA Draft on June 22.

Pickett, selected by the Denver Nuggets with the No. 32 overall pick in the second round, will sport No. 24 in the Mile High City.

Meanwhile, Lundy will don No. 8 following his No. 46 overall selection by the Atlanta Hawks.

The Nittany Lion duo made history at the draft as the first Penn State pair to be selected within the same year. The last Penn State hoops alum to hear their name called at the NBA Draft was Tony Carr in 2018.

Pickett most recently wore jersey No. 22 for the blue and white and throughout his three-year career at Siena College. Similarly, Lundy displayed No. 1 during his time in Happy Valley beginning in 2019.

Pickett and Lundy will join Penn State hoops alum Lamar Stevens in the NBA as he continues his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers following the renewal of his team option. Pickett will also work directly with Nittany Lion legend Calvin Booth, who operates as the Nuggets’ general manager.
