Penn State Men’s Hockey Signee Aiden Fink Drafted No. 218 Overall By Nashville Predators

Aiden Fink, you are a Nashville Predator.

One of Penn State men’s hockey’s newest forwards was drafted by the Nashville Predators with the No. 218 overall pick in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft Thursday. Fink becomes the 15th player in Penn State men’s hockey history to be selected in the draft.

Fink will join fellow Nittany Lion Chase McLane in the Nashville system following his selection in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Fink, 18, has yet to play a game in a Penn State uniform after he committed to the program in April. Prior to his commitment, Fink played in the AJHL for Brooks Bandits, where he was named the league MVP with 46 goals and 56 assists in 54 games. Fink also competed in the 2023 World Junior A Challenge for Canada, where he led the tournament on points on five goals and seven assists in six games.

With Fink’s selection, Penn State sees a player drafted into the NFL, NBA, and NHL in the same year.
