Penn State Men’s Soccer To Open Season August 27 Against Le Moyne

Update, July 5:

Penn State men’s soccer teased a second home game on Wednesday via Twitter before the full release of its 2023 schedule.

The Nittany Lions will seemingly take on defending 2022 National Champion Syracuse on Friday, September 1.

The game will take place “under the lights” in a likely night game at Jeffrey Field.

Original Story:

Penn State men’s soccer is almost back.

The Nittany Lions announced the date of their season opener Monday, which they will host on Sunday, August 27, at Jeffery Field against Le Moyne. A kickoff time for the match has not been announced.

The team has not announced the dates of any other matches but will announce five more match dates ahead of their schedule drop on Thursday, July 13.

Last season, the Nittany Lions finished their regular season 6-5-4 before losing to Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament. They did not see any postseason action beyond that loss.
