It’s been a big week for Penn State baseball head coach Mike Gambino and his staff on the recruiting trail.

Pitcher and rising junior transfer from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) Frankie Sanchez announced his commitment to Penn State on Instagram.

During his time with the Penmen, Sanchez pitched a 2.97 ERA and aided SNHU to an 8-1 record from the mound. The 6’0,” 195-pound pitcher recorded a season-high nine strikeouts against Franklin Pierce in the 2023 season.

The Nittany Lions also scored a commitment from Class of 2024 pitcher Charles Mau, who announced his commitment on Twitter Tuesday.

A Wexford, Pennsylvania, native, Mau is a left-handed pitcher and member of Penn State baseball’s recruiting Class of 2024. During his high school career, he competed at the club level for the Pittsburgh Spikes. Though largely a pitcher, Mau can also compete at first base or in the outfield.

Penn State baseball extended its Class of 2024 stock with a commitment from Chase Ennis Tuesday.

Ennis, a recruit from Ivyland, Pennsylvania, is a right-handed pitcher at Council Rock Southern High School. There he plays travel ball for the Crossbridge Raiders. Ennis is listed at 6’4″ and 220 pounds, per Prep Baseball Report.

Gambino finished things off by adding a fourth pitcher to the Nittany Lions’ roster, Sean Williams, who announced his commitment on Twitter Tuesday.

From Severna Park High School in Maryland, the right-handed pitcher also plays club baseball for the Mid-Atlantic Red Sox. Williams stands at 6’2″ and 198 pounds, according to Prep Baseball Report.

Sanchez will join transfers Shayne Audet, Adam Cecere, Matt Maloney, and Zach Mizrahi ahead of the 2024 season, while Mau, Ennis, and Williams will arrive in Happy Valley for the 2025 campaign.
