Long Snapper Andrew Dufault Commits To Penn State Football As Walk-On

Long snapper Andrew Dufault committed to Penn State football, he announced via Twitter Thursday.

Dufault, Penn State’s first walk-on commit of the recruiting Class of 2024, selected the Nittany Lions over the likes of Boston College and Army.

Dufault, who hails from Xaverian Brothers High School in Massachusetts, is ranked as the No. 5 long snapper in the country by Kohl’s Kicking, a company that specializes in high school special teams work.

Kohl’s Kicking rated Dufault highly and described Dufault as “the type of snapper that stands out even amongst the best in the country… He has the size and rare ability to play this position for a very long time.”

Dufault is the 25th member of Penn State recruiting Class of 2024. The Nittany Lions’ recruiting class is currently ranked No. 5 in the country by 247Sports, though Dufault does not have a profile on 247Sports and doesn’t affect that ranking.
