Students Invited To Kick Off Fall Semester With Fun Alumni Association Events

As students return to Penn State’s University Park campus for the start of the fall 2023 semester, two events hosted by the Penn State Alumni Association will get them off to a good start.

On Sunday, August 20, members of the Class of 2027 are invited to Be a Part From the Start from 8 to 9 p.m.

Students will get to hear from some familiar campus faces, learn the cheers they’ll be proudly repeating for years to come and be welcomed to their new home away from home. They’ll experience firsthand what it means to become a part of the “We Are” of Penn State. They’ll also hear about how the Alumni Association’s student organizations, the Lion Ambassadors, and the Blue & White Society, can connect students with Penn State’s powerful alumni network.

The Alumni Association will livestream Be A Part From The Start at alumni.psu.edu/BAPFTS and will provide updates throughout the event on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.

On Thursday, August 24, all University Park students are invited to drop by the Hintz Family Alumni Center for BASH, hosted by the Blue & White Society. Students can enjoy free food, games, and much more while learning about the Alumni Association’s student arm, which is one of Penn State’s oldest and largest student organizations. BASH will run from 12 to 3 p.m.

The Alumni Association is proud to support these events to help students connect with fellow
Penn Staters and help first-year Nittany Lions learn about Penn State traditions and opportunities for engagement with the alumni network.

Be A Part From the Start and BASH is proudly sponsored by the following partners:

  • Weis
  • KCF
  • Planet Fitness
  • UPAC
