Penn State Football Ranked No. 7 In AP Top 25 Poll

After a strong performance against West Virginia Saturday, Penn State football remained ranked No. 7 in the AP Top 25 Poll Tuesday.

The Nittany Lions were expected to be stagnant among voters this week after their 38-15 victory over the Mountaineers. The game featured a stellar performance from sophomore starting quarterback Drew Allar and strong play from the team’s wide receivers and defensive secondary.

Three of Penn State’s conference foes are currently ranked in the poll. Most notably, Michigan is ranked No. 2, while Ohio State is ranked No. 5. Additionally, Wisconsin ranked at No. 19.

As for the USA Today Coaches Poll, Penn State similarly remained at No. 7, while Michigan (No. 2), Ohio State (No. 4), and Wisconsin (No. 19) rounded out Big Ten teams in the top 25.

The Nittany Lions will remain in Happy Valley in week two and host Delaware at noon on Saturday, September 9, at Beaver Stadium.
