Penn State Football Stagnant At No. 7 In AP Poll
Not up, not down.
Penn State football was ranked No. 7 in the latest AP Poll, which was released Sunday. The Nittany Lions have not moved from their original ranking in the Associated Press’ preseason poll.
Penn State’s latest ranking comes after a 63-7 victory over FCS side Delaware on Saturday. The Nittany Lions improved to 2-0 after taking down West Virginia 38-15 in front of the fourth-largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history.
Several of the Nittany Lions’ future opponents are also ranked in the poll, including Ohio State (No. 6), Michigan (No. 2), and Iowa (No. 25).
Penn State hits the road for the first time this season for its next matchup against Illinois. The game will kick off at noon on Saturday, September 16, and will be broadcast on Fox.
