Trey Wallace Questionable, Malick Meiga Out For Penn State Football Against Iowa
Penn State will be without wide receiver Malick Meiga for the third game in a row against Iowa, according to the team’s availability report. The report does not list reasons for statuses.
Meiga played in the Nittany Lions’ season opener against West Virginia, where he recorded one catch for seven yards. Last year, Meiga appeared in 12 games, making three catches for 19 yards.
Trey Wallace is listed as questionable for the Nittany Lions for the second week in a row. Last week, Wallace was also listed as questionable but did not see the field.
Wallace is a key target for quarterback Drew Allar, and the receiving corps struggled without him. So far, Wallace has 10 receptions for 98 yards, with a long of 18 yards. James Franklin seemed to suggest that Wallace would return to action against the Hawkeyes, though his listing puts his possible level of contribution up in the air.
