Twelve Penn State Alumni-Owned Breweries To Launch ‘Buckeye Tears’ Beer
Twelve Penn State alumni-owned Pennsylvania breweries are joining forces to release “Buckeye Tears,” a 4.09% Cold IPA, Breweries in Pennsylvania announced Wednesday.

State College brewery Antifragile Brewing is a part of the alumni creation team, along with Acrospire Brewing, Blondes and Brewnettes, Cellar Works, Grist House, Hidden Stories Brewing, Locust Lane Craft Brewery, Mechanist Brewing, Michaux Brewing, Moo-Duck Brewing, Rough Edges Brewing, and ShuBrew.
“Obviously no harm is meant. We just think ‘Buckeye Tears’ is the perfect name for a beer that will honor Penn State heading to the National Championship in 2023,” Breweries in Pennsylvania’s release said. “No one in Ohio wants to see that.”
Buckeye Tears will be available on tap and in cans at the 12 breweries across the state beginning in early October, according to Breweries in Pennsylvania.
Folks can also purchase a framed sign featuring the Buckeye-inspired label on Breweries in Pennsylvania’s website.
