Penn State Football Remains Ranked No. 6 In AP Poll

Penn State football is ranked No. 6 in this week’s AP Poll, the Associated Press announced Sunday. The Nittany Lions remain at No. 6 following their week four jump from No. 7.

Penn State most recently put together a 41-13 victory over Northwestern on Saturday in Evanston, highlighted by a 17-point third quarter to jump to 5-0.

In its previous outings, the Nittany Lions have pulled off large-margin victories over West Virginia, Delaware, Illinois, and Iowa.

James Franklin’s group is one of three Big Ten teams to appear in the rankings, including Michigan (No. 2) and Ohio State (No. 4).

The blue and white will head into the bye week and return to action in two weeks against UMass at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Beaver Stadium. From there, Penn State will get into the brunt of its conference schedule with six Big Ten games remaining.
