As game week hits Happy Valley again, Penn State football will aim to come off the bye week with another win despite some historic off-week struggles from head coach James Franklin. Franklin is 3-7 coming off the bye, however, the sportsbooks predict a walk-in-the-park-win for the Nittany Lions on Saturday.

In their last time out, the Nittany Lions took down the Northwestern Wildcats 41-13, covering the spread and hitting the over. This victory pushes Penn State to a perfect 5-0 against the spread and a 3-2 record against the over/under.

This week, FanDuel has set the spread at a whopping 42.5 points in favor of the Nittany Lions, tying the largest spread of the season dating back to their week two matchup against Delaware. The over/under has also been set at 56.5 points, too.

Penn State is 1-0 against UMass in historical matches and recorded a 48-7 victory while covering the spread and hitting the over.

The team’s annual Homecoming game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Beaver Stadium and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
