Penn State Men’s Hockey To Host Teddy Bear Toss Benefiting THON December 1

The teddy bear toss returns to Hockey Valley.

Penn State men’s hockey announced its annual teddy bear toss benefiting THON on Friday, December 1, when the Nittany Lions face off against conference powerhouse Minnesota.

Fans can purchase a teddy bear to bring with them to the game and toss it onto the ice during one of the game’s intermissions. Additionally, the team store at Pegula Ice Arena will have teddy bears available for purchase.

Every teddy bear thrown will be donated to Four Diamonds children being treated for pediatric cancer. In the 2022 iteration of the teddy bear toss, fans threw 1,755 bears onto the ice at Pegula.

In the meantime, the Nittany Lions will continue their non-conference slate against AIC beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 20, at Pegula Ice Arena. The second game of the series will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 21.
