Penn State Football Jumps To No. 9 In AP Poll

Penn State football jumped one spot to No. 9 in the latest AP Top-25 Poll, the Associated Press announced Sunday.

The Nittany Lions’ No. 9-ranking comes following the team’s victory over Indiana 33-24 at Beaver Stadium. They previously dropped three spots to No. 10 after falling 20-12 against Ohio State in Columbus last week.

Penn State jumped Oklahoma after its 38-33 defeat at the hand of then-unranked Kansas. The Jayhawks are now ranked No. 22.

Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida State round out the top four without any changes. Meanwhile, Washington, Texas, Oregon, and Penn State hold the top nine spots.

Penn State’s next game, which is against the Maryland Terrapins, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, at SECU Stadium in College Park, Maryland. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
