Penn State Intramural Sports To Hold Battleship Tournament November 5

Penn State Intramural Sports will relaunch its popular battleship tournament from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, in the McCoy Natatorium.

Teams will consist of three players in one canoe, and each team may have as many substitute players as they wish. The goal of each team is to sink their opponents’ boat by throwing water into it. The last canoe afloat will win the match and move on to the next round.

Each match will last 10 minutes, and teams will receive points off their finishing position in each heat. The championship match will have no time limit, giving the most competitive players longer to battle.

A canoe will be eliminated when it capsizes, a player falls out, or the canoe is completely filled with water. Players must wear swimwear to participate and each canoe will be provided two buckets, two shields, and a super soaker.

Teams can register to play on the IM website for $15 ahead of November 5.
