Three Penn State Football Defenders Named To All-Big Ten First Team

The Big Ten announced the All-Big Ten defensive selections on Tuesday morning which included Penn State’s Adisa Isaac, Chop Robinson, and Abdul Carter on the All-Big Ten first team.

Thirteen Nittany Lions were named to the first, second, and third teams and honorable mentions by Big Ten coaches and media.

Robinson, one of college football’s best pass rushers, was selected by both Big Ten coaches and media for his spot on the conference’s first team. He racked up 15 total tackles, four sacks, and two forced fumbles in seven games this season. Robinson could choose to forgo his senior year and enter the 2024 NFL Draft where he would likely be a first-round pick.

Isaac was nominated by Big Ten media for his career year in Happy Valley. The senior totaled 35 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and a forced fumble through 11 games.

Carter, who was named to the 2022 All-Big Ten second team his freshman year, received a first-team nomination from Big Ten coaches this go around. The true sophomore linebacker totaled 46 tackles, 4.5 sacks, four pass deflections, an interception, and a forced fumble.

Additionally, defensive back Kalen King received second-team nominations from Big Ten coaches and media.

A handful of Nittany Lions were included on third teams and named honorable mentions including Dani Dennis-Sutton, Johnny Dixon, Daequan Hardy, Kobe King, Jaylen Reed, Kevin Winston Jr., Curtis Jacobs, Zane Durant, and Dvon Ellies.
