Penn State Football’s Olu Fashanu Named Big Ten Offensive Lineman Of The Year
Penn State football’s offensive tackle Olu Fashanu was named the Rimington-Pace Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday.
Fashanu is the second Nittany Lion to win the award and the first since center A.Q. Shipley won in 2008.

The Waldorf, Maryland, native has appeared in 29 games during his career at Penn State and has started 22 contests on the line. This season, Fashanu has allowed just 11 pressures and no sacks in his 382 pass-blocking snaps this season.
The offensive lineman was heavily expected to be a first-round draft pick a season ago but decided to stay at Penn State for another year. Fashanu has boosted his draft stock this season and is touted to be selected very early in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Twelve offensive Nittany Lions have now been honored by the Big Ten with postseason awards, however, Fashanu was the only player given first-team All-Big Ten honors.
Fashanu is also a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, or the “Academic Heisman,” due to his excellence in the classroom and the football field.
