Motivational Speaker Inky Johnson Stops By Penn State Football Practice Ahead Of Peach Bowl

Motivational speaker Inky Johnson dropped by Penn State football’s Wednesday afternoon practice before the Nittany Lions’ Peach Bowl matchup with Ole Miss. James Franklin posted a video of Johnson Wednesday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium after the former Tennessee cornerback chatted with the team.

“I dropped by, just wanted to see the guys put in work,” Johnson said in the video. “[I] offered a few words about owning the moment and not taking it for granted.”

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Johnson is a former football college football player whose career in Knoxville was cut short by an on-field injury that left him without the use of his right arm. After his injury, Johnson went on to become a motivational speaker and appears often before football teams and corporations.

This wasn’t the first time Johnson’s spoken to Penn State football. He and the team have a pre-existing relationship — Johnson spoke with the Nittany Lions ahead of the 2022 season.

“How we view what we do affects how we do what we do,” Johnson said in 2022. “How you do anything is how you do everything.”

Franklin and the Nittany Lions will take on Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl at noon on Saturday, December 30.
