Penn State football defensive end Adisa Isaac has declared for the NFL Draft, he announced Wednesday night. Isaac shared he will play in the Peach Bowl

Isaac is the seventh Nittany Lion to declare for the draft, all but one of whom will play in the Peach Bowl.

“I am so appreciative of what Coach Franklin and this football family has done for me and my family over the course of these years,” Isaac wrote on Twitter. “I arrived at Penn State as a kid and I am leaving a man thanks to the guidance of all the great coaches and players I met along the way. It is more than just football, they’ve taught me about overcoming adversity, which prepared me for my life away from this program and I am forever grateful.”

Isaac’s been with Penn State since 2019 when he committed to the program as a four-star prospect. Isaac saw time with the Nittany Lions immediately, appearing in 11 games and recording 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks. The following year, Isaac notched 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks during a shortened 2020 season.

Isaac missed the 2021 season due to an injury and took a medical redshirt. He returned with a bang in 2022, racking up 28 tackles and four sacks as he established himself as one of the team’s top defensive ends. While there was debate about Isaac’s future after that 2022 season, he opted to return to the program for the 2023 season.

In his last season with Penn State, Isaac established himself as one of the best defensive players in the country. Isaac’s 7.5 sacks and 35 tackles were a significant contribution to a defensive line that often relied on all three of its top defensive ends to make plays. Alongside fellow defensive end Chop Robinson, Isaac was instrumental in creating one of the best rushing defenses in the nation.

Isaac joined Robinson, Theo Johnson, Curtis Jacobs, Caedan Wallace, Daequan Hardy, and Olu Fashanu in declaring for the draft. Only Robinson opted to miss the Peach Bowl. Isaac will wear a Penn State uniform for the final time at noon on December 30 in Atlanta, Georgia.
