Report: Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Dante Cephas Enrolls At Kansas State
Former Penn State wide receiver has enrolled at Kansas State, per 247Sports.
Prior to entering the portal, Cephas was suited up on the sideline for the Peach Bowl but didn’t play a snap. Franklin said “open competition,” played a role in the snap count.
This is Cephas’ second time transferring schools after the senior transferred to Penn State from Kent State after spending four seasons with the Golden Flashes.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native had his most prolific season with the Golden Flashes during the 2021 campaign, when he recorded 82 receptions for 1240 yards and nine touchdowns. Cephas followed up the standout year with 744 yards and three touchdowns on 48 receptions in 2022.
The wide receiver was believed to be a reliable third option for the Nittany Lions’ struggling receiver group but never found the groove he hit at Kent State. During his lone season with the Nittany Lions, Cephas recorded 246 yards and two touchdowns on 22 receptions.
