The Center for the Performing Arts Student Advisory Council will present “Marcello Hernández Live” for its Campus Comedy night. This event is part of its second annual comedy event and will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, in the Eisenhower Auditorium.

Standup comedian and “Saturday Night Live” actor Marcello Hernández started performing at just 18 years old. He has toured nationwide and opened for headlining comedians including Dave Chappelle and Colin Jost. Hernández has had over 10 appearances on Telemundo’s “Acceso Total” and NBC’s “6 in the Mix,” in addition to being selected as a Just for Laughs Comedy Festival “New Face of Comedy” in 2022.

“Derby: A Women’s Comedy Troupe” will open the performance. Derby is a student club at Penn State for women and nonbinary individuals that was formed as a creative space for those who are not traditionally represented in comedy.

Tickets are $5 for University Park students and $20 for adults. Tickets will be available for purchase online, via phone, or in person at Eisenhower Auditorium, which is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
