Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Earns Three Big Ten Weekly Awards
Penn State men’s lacrosse brought in three Big Ten weekly awards on Tuesday with Matt Traynor, Sam Sweeney, and Jack Fracyon each being recognized after the Nittany Lions’ dominant victory against Cornell on Saturday.

Traynor was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after recording a career-high eight points and seven goals against Cornell. The midfielder has 27 points on the season so far, tallying at least five points in three games this season. This was his second weekly honor from the Big Ten this season.
Sweeney was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, his first honor this season. Sweeney grabbed four ground balls and caused one turnover against Cornell. He has eleven ground balls and two caused turnovers so far this season.
Fracyon received Big Ten Specialist of the Week after stopping 14 shots from Cornell and holding it to just nine goals. The goalie has a goals-against average of 9.80 and a save percentage of .570 on the season. This marks his second weekly honor this season.
Penn State will return to action to take on Marquette in a neutral site game at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
