The 2024 NFL Draft is a little bit closer, folks.

After a successful NFL Combine for a few Penn Staters, defensive end Chop Robinson shot up many experts’ draft boards. Robinson, along with offensive tackle Olu Fashanu, was consistently listed as a first-round selection.

Here’s where some of Penn State’s best prospects are picked to fall following last week’s combine.

Diante Lee (The Athletic)

In his two-round mock draft, The Athletic’s Diante Lee picked three Nittany Lions to hear their name called early. Lee picked Fashanu to be selected by the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 10 overall, two picks behind Notre Dame’s Joe Alt.

Lee also pinned defensive ends Robinson and Adisa Isaac to be drafted at No. 20 by the Seattle Seahawks and No. 54 by the Cleveland Browns, respectively.

Jordan Reid (ESPN)

In another two-round draft, ESPN’s Jordan Reid had four Nittany Lions drafted in the first 50 selections. Reid, like Lee, picked Fashanu to go at No. 10, though to the New York Jets. Reid also picked Robinson to fall in the first round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 26 overall.

Reid also picked Isaac to be drafted at No. 40 by the Washington Commanders. In a surprise, Reid also selected tight end Theo Johnson to hear his name called toward the end of the second round at No. 49 by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ryan Wilson (CBS Sports)

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports only published a one-round draft but selected two Nittany Lions nonetheless. Wilson picked Fashanu to land as the No. 6 pick to the New York Giants, one slot ahead of Alt. He also picked Robinson to end up with the Detroit Lions at No. 29 overall.

“It came as a surprise to no one that Chop Robinson tested through the roof at the combine. He also weighed 254 pounds, though you’d like to see him stand up at the point with more consistency,” Wilson wrote. “That said, he played with one of the highest motors in college football, and that — along with the ability to bend the corner like few in this class — translates immediately to the NFL.”

Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz (USA Today)

Like Reid, Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz of USA Today’s picks started with Fashanu going to the Jets at the 10th selection. Middlehurst-Schwartz also selected Robinson to land in the first round, earning a selection by the Arizona Cardinals at No. 27 overall.

“Even after a handful of early moves in free agency, Arizona is still sorely lacking a difference-maker in its front seven,” Middle-Schwartz wrote. “Robinson showcased his rapid burst and explosiveness at the combine, leaving little question that his superlative athleticism is worth the gamble of a late first-round selection.”

Charles Davis (NFL Network)

In a one-round mock draft, NFL Network’s Charles Davis pinned two Nittany Lions to hear their names called on the first day of the draft. Davis had Fashanu falling to No. 14 with the New Orleans Saints as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the draft and had Robinson ending up with the Philadelphia Eagles at the No. 22 selection.
