Penn State Wrestling Clinches 2024 National Championship Team Title

The dynasty continues, folks.

Penn State wrestling clinched its 11th national championship title in the past 13 seasons during Session IV of the NCAA National Championships.

This team win also solidifies the three-peat for 2022, 2023, and 2024.

The win came during Carter Starocci’s semifinal bout against Shane Griffith, as the Nittany Lions had a hefty 117.5 points, with the second-place team Arizona State trailing behind with 59.5 points.

With six wrestlers in the semifinals and four in consolation matchups, all 10 qualified Nittany Lions participated in Session IV.

For head coach Cael Sanderson, he now possesses the second-most wins all-time among collegiate wrestling head coaches.
