Report: Penn State Football To Host FIU In 2025

Penn State football will reportedly host Florida International University on September 6, 2025, according to Action Network Insider Brett McMurphy.

The Nittany Lions have only played the Golden Panthers once in program history. The matchup was a 59-0 Penn State victory in 2007 at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State’s matchup against FIU is set to be its second game of the 2025 season. The Nittany Lions already plan to face Nevada on Saturday, August 30, and Villanova on Saturday, September 13.

The Nittany Lions already have their Big Ten opponents determined for the 2025 season, as they’ll host Indiana, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Oregon and face Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, and UCLA on the road. The dates for those games have yet to be determined.
