Gone are the days of Ticketmaster.

Penn State Athletics revealed it will change its Penn State student football season ticket process “in an effort to offer an equal opportunity for all eligible students to access tickets.”

Athletics is shifting to a lottery process to allow students more time to request a season ticket. Students aiming to purchase tickets will have a week to request season football tickets following years of student season tickets selling out in under 30 minutes on a single day on Ticketmaster.

The cost of the seven-game ticket package will remain $246 and all eligibility requirements for student season tickets have not changed. More details on student season ticket requirements like credit hours and student status can be found here.

While the sale originally took place on Ticketmaster, requests will now be held on Penn State’s Student Account Manager.

The “request windows” for student season tickets for each grade are as follows:

• Graduate Students: Monday, June 10 to Monday, June 17

• Seniors: Tuesday, June 11 to Tuesday, June 18

• Juniors: Wednesday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 19

• Sophomores: Thursday, June 13 to Thursday, June 20

• Freshmen: Friday, June 14 to Friday, June 21

Each ticket request window will begin at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Students will be notified by email the week of June 24 if their request was selected by the lottery system.
