First Friday To Return To Downtown State College April 5

First Friday is set to return to downtown State College with art, after-hours gallery access, and live music for the season on Friday, April 5.

From 5 to 8 p.m. on the first Friday of every month from April to December in the Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza, the Downtown State College Improvement District will host live music, retail and restaurant specials, free bites and beverages, and access to galleries and shops after-hours for all attendees.

Six bands are set to perform from 5 to 8 p.m. throughout the First Friday summer slate, including:

  • April 5: Victor & the Icons
  • May 3: La Fiesta Band
  • June 7: Joy Marie & the Gill Street Band
  • July 5: Coal Aly
  • August 2: Granma Ben
  • September 6: The PennSOULvanians

Free parking will be available in the Pugh, Fraser, and Beaver Garages with validations from participating merchants.
