Penn State Hoops’ 2024-25 Big Ten Opponents Released

The 2024-25 Penn State men’s basketball Big Ten opponents were released by the team Wednesday. The Nittany Lions are set to face 17 in-conference opponents.

Highlighting the list of opponents are USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon, each of whom will be competing in the Big Ten for the first time. The 2024-25 season marks the first time the Nittany Lions will face any of these teams away from a neutral site, and Penn State has a 3-1 record against Big Ten additions.
Penn State is set to host Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oregon, Purdue, and Washington at home and will hit the road to face Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, UCLA, USC, and Wisconsin. The Nittany Lions will face Indiana, Minnesota, and Rutgers both home and away.
The 2023-24 Nittany Lions went 9-11 and won a single game in the Big Ten Tournament over Michigan. Penn State’s 2024-25 schedule is yet to be announced, though the Nittany Lions are reportedly set to play Virginia Tech in November in Baltimore and compete in the 2024 Sunshine Slam.
