You Can Apply To Coach A Penn State Team

Have you ever dreamt of being a Penn State football coach? Do you wish you were roaming the sidelines of Beaver Stadium as the Nittany Lions take on Ohio State?

Well, you should probably give up on those dreams. Those jobs have been filled. However, Penn State Athletics will let you apply to be its next swimming and diving assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams.

Penn State posted its latest job opening for an assistant swimming and diving coach position on its public Workday page and even advertised the position on its social media accounts. While the social media posts say the job is for the head coach position, the Workday post says it’s for the assistant coaching position. We’re sure you can figure that out as the application process continues.

According to the job posting on Workday, the assistant coach position will require work in recruiting to the swimming and diving teams, mentoring student-athletes, preparation for meets, and much more.

To qualify for the position, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or better and two years of related Division I coaching experience. The salary range for the job is between $35,600 and $500,000, but that’s certainly something that can be worked out in negotiations. Know your worth, folks.

If you’re interested in leading Penn State swimming and diving to glory, you can fill out your application here.
