Former Penn State Hoops Forward Leo O’Boyle Signs With Swiss Team

Leo O’Boyle keeps on globe-trotting, folks.

The former Penn State men’s basketball forward has signed a professional contract with the Pully-Lausanne Foxes, which plays in the Swiss Basketball League. O’Boyle was previously under contract with the Newcastle Falcons of Australia.

O’Boyle spent the 2023-24 season with the Nittany Lions, averaging two points per game in 33 appearances. Before coming to Penn State, the 6’7″ (or 201 cm, for the Swiss) forward played four years at Lafayette College, where he steadily improved his scoring averages each year, recording 11.6 points per game in his senior season.

The Swiss Basketball League is the highest level of professional basketball in Switzerland. Its season should start back up in late September. Last year, the Pully-Lausanne Foxes finished in seventh place in the 10-team league.
