Class Of 2026 Three-Star Wide Receiver Lavar Keys Commits To Penn State Football

Class of 2026 three-star wide receiver Lavar Keys has committed to Penn State football, he announced Friday. Keys became the second wide receiver to commit to the Nittany Lions’ recruiting class of 2026.

Keys, who hails from Hyattsville, Maryland, is rated as the No. 80 wide receiver in the nation and the ninth-best player in his home state, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. By the same metric, Penn State’s six-commit class was ranked No. 2 in the nation before Keys’ commitment.

Standing at 5’9″ and 165 pounds, Keys plays his high school ball for DeMatha Catholic. He followed a slew of class of 2026 commitments for the Nittany Lions, including three-star wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers, four-star edge rusher Daniel Jennings, and four-star offensive lineman Kevin Brown.

Keys chose the Nittany Lions over the likes of Virginia Tech, Maryland, and others. To see what Keys can bring to the Nittany Lions in a few years, check out his Hudl profile here.
