Your Official Bye Week Drinking Game

The time has come, again.

Following a 33-30 overtime win at USC, Penn State football jumped up one spot to No. 3 on this week’s AP Poll, making this a 6-0 start to the season. But, just like you, the Nittany Lions deserve a week off.

But just because there is no game this weekend doesn’t mean there aren’t loads of reasons to crack open a cold one — whether it’s with your parents, your friends, or even on your own.

So, sit back, relax, and get ready for this week’s official drinking game.

  • Take a shot if you’re sad there is no Penn State football this weekend. Sorry, we had to start with an easy one.
  • Take a nice loooong sip if you hear “Zombie Nation” at a daylong.
  • Finish your drink if anyone mentions the words “bye-week blues.” Yes, we’re all feeling it.
  • Take a shot if someone in your group says, “At least we’re undefeated this weekend.” Try and find the silver lining, folks.
  • Crack open another drink if you end up watching a random Big Ten game instead. It’s not the same, but it’ll have to do.
  • Take a sip every time you think of the USC game
  • Take a sip every time you think of the Wisconsin game.
  • Take a sip every time you think of any game ever.
  • Cheers to someone next to you if someone says, “Warren for Heisman.”
  • If your parents are in town for Parents and Families Weekend, take a shot with them. Why not?
  • Take a long sip if you hear a dad yelling the “We Are!” chant.
  • If Michigan loses to Illinois, take a celebratory sip. Michigan still sucks.
  • After you’ve finished your drink, crack open another one. There can’t be that much to do during the bye week, anyway.
  • After you’ve opened your drink, work on finishing it. The Nittany Lions will be back next week.

As always, have fun, stay safe, and drink responsibly!
