We are the captains now.

Penn State men’s hockey has named Dane Dowiak and Reese Laubach team captains for the 2026-27 season.

Dowiak and Laubach both led the Nittany Lions last season. Dowiak was the lone captain while Laubach was one of two alternates.

Laubach played in all 37 games for Penn State in 2025-26, recording 28 points on 12 goals and a career-best 16 assists.

Dowiak played 27 games last season before suffering a season-ending injury. He scored 18 points on nine goals and nine assists and blocked 24 shots.
