Transfer Portal Roundup: Week 5

Week 5 of the college football season is over and Penn State’s season continues to slide after its second straight loss.

Although the Nittany Lions may not be where they hoped to be heading into the White Out game, many former Penn State players took the field for other schools across the country.

Here is how Penn State’s transfer departures performed in Week 5.

Ethan Grunkemeyer, Virginia Tech

Ethan Grunkemeyer put up big numbers again for former Penn State head coach James Franklin and Virginia Tech against Pitt.

Unfortunately for the Hokies, Grunkemeyer’s 434 yards and three touchdowns were not enough as they fell 35-33 to the Panthers.

Grunkemeyer also threw two interceptions.

Beau Pribula, Virginia

Beau Pribula became the second former Penn State quarterback to lose this week after Virginia lost to Florida State 38-7.

Pribula completed 14-of-32 passes for 168 yards and the Cavaliers’ only touchdown.

Luke Reynolds, Virginia Tech

Back in Blacksburg, Virginia, Luke Reynolds bounced back after doing little against Boston College in Week 4.

Reynolds had seven catches for 93 yards in a close game against Pitt.

Randy Adirika, Virginia Tech

Randy Adirika played in just his second game of the season for Virginia Tech on Saturday. He made his first solo tackle of the season and assisted another.

Keon Wylie, Virginia Tech

Keon Wylie continues to be a serious threat to opposing offenses.

Wylie had his best game in ACC play yet on Friday, recording two solo tackles and two assisted tackles.

Cortez Harris, Virginia Tech

Cortez Harris had a quieter game on Friday than last, but he still made an impact defensively. He recorded one solo tackle and one assisted tackle.

Dejuan Lane, Tennessee

Dejuan Lane had a monster game in Tennessee’s 24-14 win over Auburn on Saturday.

The former Penn State safety more than doubled his season tackle total, adding nine tackles and two sacks.

Amare Campbell, Tennessee

Also for Tennessee, Amare Campbell had his best game of the season.

The linebacker made nine tackles, five solo. He also had a huge sack in the third quarter.

Xavier Gilliam, Tennessee

Xavier Gilliam joined in on the tackling fun against Auburn, recording two tackles.

He continued to play a big role for the Volunteers defense.

Jabree Coleman, South Carolina

Jabree Coleman started the game strong with a 17-yard run and then a 4-yard touchdown run against Kentucky.

Unfortunately for Coleman, his team couldn’t hang on, and South Carolina lost 35-34 in overtime after holding as much as a 17-point lead.

Elliot Washington Jr., Clemson

Despite Clemson’s rough 41-13 loss to Miami, Elliot Washington Jr. still put up solid numbers on the defensive end.

Washington recorded six tackles for the Tigers and played solid pass defense throughout.

Jaylen Harvey, North Carolina

Jaylen Harvey put up a solid performance defensively despite UNC coming up short against Notre Dame, 37-26.

He recorded four tackles, all of them solo.

Aaron Enterline, Towson

Aaron Enterline continued his fantastic season for the Towson Tigers.

He had six receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown. His longest catch was for 45 yards.

He has also scored at least one touchdown in every game so far this season.

King Mack, NC State

King Mack helped the Wolfpack secure a 31-28 win over Louisville. He recorded two tackles in the victory.
