It’s October, folks, and Halloween is swiftly approaching.

Now is the time to head to a pumpkin patch and pick the perfect pumpkin to carve.

If you love Penn State and aren’t sure what to carve into this year’s jack-o-lantern, we’ve got some ideas to try at home.

The Penn State Logo

The classic Penn State logo is the perfect symbol of Penn State pride.

Featuring the Nittany Lion mascot, this logo was created in the 1970s and has been one of Penn State’s most well-known emblems ever since.

Penn State Seal

This one is definitely a long shot and is better suited to more advanced pumpkin carvers. If you do pull it off, though, it would make an extremely impressive pumpkin that would surely impress your neighborhood.

Blue Band Logo

The Blue Band is the largest student organization on campus and has been bringing its legendary sound to Penn State since 1899.

It also has a pretty awesome logo that would look great on any Blue Band alum’s or family’s porch.

The Pennsylvania Outline

Made for those spending the season out of state, this carving is perfect for anyone feeling a bit homesick for Pennsylvania autumn.

PSU Letters

This design keeps things simple, which makes it a great pick for carvers of any skill level. A perfect way to show your Penn State pride and keep the spooky spirit going.

Penn State Nittany Lion

Perfect for any little Penn State fan, this design features a cute cartoon Nittany Lion head.
