Centre Region Parks and Recreation hosted its 78th annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest on Sunday, starting in downtown State College and ending at Memorial Field for final judging.

Families, kids, and friends gathered in their best costumes, as the State College High School Marching Band led them along the route. The celebration wrapped up with candy, cash prizes, and plenty of smiles, thanks to the State College Lions Foundation’s generosity.

As always, our photographers were there to capture all the festivities of the evening.

Everyone participating lined up prior to the parade.

The banner led the way with the band right behind it.

Then the costumes followed the band. A lot of families dressed up together.

Some folks watched from the sidewalk.

The parade ended at Memorial Field for final judging.

Everyone received bags of candy and had a good night!

Happy Halloween, folks!
