Your Official Penn State-Purdue Drinking Game

It’s Halloweekend, folks!

There’s no better way to kick off or continue the Halloween festivities than a Penn State football game. The Nittany Lions return to Beaver Stadium after a week off, so it’s time to make up for lost time.

The temperature is set at a high of 66 degrees Fahrenheit for Saturday’s game. Let’s drink to that! Maybe this beautiful weather will ring in a Penn State Big Ten win (please, we’re begging).

Here’s your official Penn State-Purdue drinking game:

  • Penn State just came back from a bye week. Take a shot!
  • Anytime you see someone dressed up for Halloween, take a sip.
  • Every time you hear someone bring up Penn State’s record, take a shot. The Nittany Lions are trying.
  • If you’re happy to be back at Beaver Stadium, take a shot. Nothing beats playing at home!
  • If Purdue jumps offsides, take a shot and celebrate.
  • Every time Penn State gets a penalty, stare into the horizon and take a long sip.
  • Every time you hear a spooky song played in the stadium, take a sip. How festive!
  • At halftime, drink some water. It could be a long game.
  • If Rocco Becht completes a long pass, finish your drink.
  • If Penn State sacks Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne, take a sip. Let’s see more of that.
  • If the announcers bring up Penn State’s four-game losing streak, take a shot. We don’t want to hear it.
  • If you love the Nittany Lions, take a shot.
  • If wide receiver Koby Howard comes back to play, take a shot and celebrate.
    • Take two shots if you’re feeling extra excited.
  • If Purdue fumbles, take a sip.
  • If Penn State fumbles, drink water and never speak about it again.
  • If Penn State wins, cheers!
    • Maybe even go out for Halloween if you weren’t planning on it already.
  • If Purdue comes out on top, finish your drink slowly and sit in sorrow.

Have fun, drink responsibly, and have a happy Halloween, folks!
