Penn State Women’s Soccer Earns No. 6 Seed In Big Ten Tournament

Penn State women’s soccer earned the No. 6 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will take on No. 3-seeded Purdue at 7 p.m. on November 5 in the quarterfinals at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Missouri, the Big Ten announced Saturday.

The Nittany Lions rode a strong second half to finish the season 9-3-5 and 7-2-3 in Big Ten play. Penn State also went undefeated at home in 2026, capping off the stand with a 4-0 win over Indiana on Friday.

Purdue ended its 2026 campaign 15-2-2 overall with a 9-2-1 mark in conference competition. The Boilermakers are riding a three-game win streak into postseason play, outscoring their opponents 10-2 during that stretch.

The two squads played to a 2-2 draw in their sole meeting of the season on October 3 at Jeffrey Field. Paige Kalal and Aubrey Kulpa lined the score sheet for the Nittany Lions in the match.

The winner of the quarterfinal will go up against the winner of No. 2-seeded UCLA and No. 7-seeded Wisconsin at 4 p.m. on November 8, also at Energizer Park.
